Of course, there’s life beyond the personal growth programs, and we offer a rich variety of events to fill the hours you don’t spend learning personal growth
techniques. We regularly host concerts by local bands, along with a wide selection of plays, art exhibitions, and exciting games played by all of our sports
teams. Check this page for regular updates on upcoming events.

Our Vision
PISI is a place where:

all young people get a good start in sport and recreation;

people of all ages have high quality, enjoyable opportunities to stay involved in sport and recreation throughout their lives;

all sports participants have opportunities to improve and achieve their personal sports goals;

people will be encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle through active living, including those who are socially disadvantaged.

We are supporting and funding the development of a sport program because it makes a positive contribution to the economic, social and environmental well-being of the local area, the quality of life and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. A sport program can pay huge dividends in terms of improved health, social
inclusion, community safety, realizing everyone’s potential, lifelong learning, environmental sustainability and regeneration.

Recreation is an essential part of human life and finds many different forms which are shaped naturally by individual interests but also by the surrounding
social construction. Recreational activities can be communal or solitary, active or passive, outdoors or indoors, healthy or harmful, and useful for society or
detrimental. A list of typical activities could be almost endless including most human activities, a few examples being reading, playing or listening to music,
watching movies or TV, gardening, hunting, hobbies, sports, studies, and travel.
We promote activities, self-awareness, and pride for one's own local community. We create and deliver fun, safe and professional community projects and
events with and for people. Our Arts & Recreation Program is a creative, exciting, safe and engaging space for all people. It’s a great place to meet up with
friends, get involved in an art, music or recreation workshops, use facilities, check out an art exhibition or see a music gig. Best of all most things are free! Often
times, we target marginal and/or low-income areas and are located in either rural or inner city areas.
Our goal is to construct a ARTS & RECREATION COMPLEX that will present arts and entertainment for the community by our clients and volunteers. A
complex comprising a large outdoor arena, new state-of-the art screening venues, a children's films theatre, a film museum, plus production facilities for general
video, audio and still photographic production, teleconferencing, word processing, computer graphics and animation, and large-scale audio-visual presentations
will be supported in the complex. In addition, we want to acquire land to build a sport complex for all seasons. It would include: Indoor softball, baseball, football,
kickball and soccer fields, Golf driving ranges, Walking track, etc. Please help us reach this Goal. Thank you for making a contribution!

The arts include visual, performing, language, culinary, and physical arts. This encompasses a wider range of activities than the colloquial meaning of "art,"
which tends to focus on visual forms, like painting and sculpture. The arts are an important part of culture and a means by which billions of people express
themselves. We realize the importance of designing and maintaining arts education programs which are culturally enriching, stimulate creative expression,
build self-esteem and improve academic achievement. The arts have suffered so long that it will take years, and massive investment, to turn things around.

Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skill. Arts learning can also improve motivation,
concentration, confidence, and teamwork. Tools that are used in the art classroom and instruments used in music class teach kids how to be responsible for
expensive equipment that they will most likely be working with for future employers. For example, having a child be put in charge of a musical instrument
helps teach the child responsibility and it helps teach them to be respectful of equipment that is not theirs. This is important because employers will expect
their future employees to be able to be responsible and take care of any materials that will be on loan to the employee, like a computer, for example.

Arts education enables those children from a financially challenged background to have a more level playing field with children who have had those
enrichment experiences. In a community as diverse as ours, the arts serve as an essential bridge across language and cultural differences. They become
the shared link, the glue that shapes our understanding of how we see ourselves and each other. Today more than ever the arts are needed by our young
people as a forum for safe expression, communication, exploration, imagination, and cultural and historical understanding.
